Rehearsals

Rehearsals
will be held on the weekends with varying times between 10 am through 4 pm.

Drosselmeyer’s toys, music box ballerinas and angels, will start with 45-60 minute rehearsals and will alternate weeks for the first 4-6 weeks of rehearsals.

Clara’s Friends, Party children, Clara, Nutcracker, Mouse King, Mice and Toy Soldiers should expect 60-minute rehearsals every week (with some weeks off.)

Older dancers and multi-role dancers should expect 2-4 hour rehearsal blocks and will meet every weekend. Soloists may be asked to come in on Thursday or Friday evenings for additional rehearsals as needed. Any weekday rehearsals will be discussed with the dancer ahead of time to work with their schedule.

Rehearsals will start in September. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be given out once auditions are over and the show is cast. All absences must be approved beforehand. If a dancer misses more than 3 rehearsals, we reserve the right to remove them from their role. Absences affect all cast members.

Attendance expectations, rehearsal etiquette and a Student/Parent Contract will be sent with the rehearsal schedule when cast list notifications are sent out. If you are unable to commit to the rehearsal schedule, you may decline the role at
that time.
